Karan Johar on Rajkumar Hirani: “I feel envious, not jealous”

Karan Johar is one of the finest filmmakers of the industry who has framed a place for himself in the industry through his work which is completely filled with freshness and grandiosity. Though, his work has always left an indelible mark in the industry, the 42��� year-old director feels envious of ace director Rajkumar Hirani.

Hirani is known for his tremendous work in the films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ (2003), and ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) , which not only entertained but also voiced a strong social message.

“I’ve been pitted against everyone and I feel envious, not jealous. I am envious of Hirani. I’ve never managed to do what he does. His movies have genius ideas. I don’t have the ability perhaps. I would love to make those kinds of movies. Hirani has strong screenplays. I hope I get such screenplays,” Johar told IANS.

Well, Hirani’s upcoming movie ‘PK’ will hit theatres on 19th December . It stars Aamir Khan along with Anuskha Sharma in the leading roles.
