He may have promised not to act again after ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015) but it seems Karan Johar has gone back on his word. If news is to be believed the filmmaker has been offered another role and he is keen on it.

As DNA reports, Johar has been approached to play himself, in a film also starring Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh. The report goes on to state how the film is apparently based on the ins and outs of what happens behind the infamous IIFA Awards, which had in fact taken place over the last weekend. Revealing to the media was the director Chakri Toleti who stated, “It’s a full-fledged role and not a cameo. While many celebs are making cameos (in the film), K’Jo has a prominent part in the movie. He will be seen playing himself. He was kicked about the idea the minute he heard it.”

Apparently Sinha and Dosanjh who were in New York for the ceremony, have already begun shooting, Here’s hoping, if Johar does decide to sign on the dotted line, he’ll be much appreciated by the audience playing himself, rather than a fictional character like his last debacle.
