Karan Johar not to act again?

Having been a successful director-producer and a great TV show host, most felt that Karan Johar would do brilliantly when it came to acting. However after having received much criticism for his debut performance in ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015), and with his recent role in ‘Welcome To New York’ (2018) not being received well, it seems Johar’s acting days are over.

“Karan has been a reluctant actor but did Welcome to New York because of his relationship with the IIFA organisers. But now he has decided not to come back to films in any role again as he feels he should not dilute his brand value,” DNA India reports a source revealing.

Though he will be absent from the big screen, Johar’s small screen presence has always been well received, where his talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ gets everyone glued to the TV sets.
