Karan Johar: “I only take good-looking actors”

FEATURED Karan Johar as Kaizad Khambatta in 'Bombay Velvet'

Karan Johar, who will be making his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’, says he himself would never cast Kashyap in a movie as he only casts good looking actors and Kashyap would not fit into his style of films.

Speaking toMid Day, Joharsaid, “I will not cast Anurag in my film. I only take good-looking actors. I will not make a film where Anurag fits in. Can you imagine Anurag in New York? You see him in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ kind of films.”

Though the filmmaker-turned-actoris open to more acting offers himself, he also maintains that he would not direct himself. ”I can’t be my own liability. I am open to offers. I don’t have a delusion that I can do lead roles but good supporting roles I will do,” he said.

Johar will soon be donning the director’s hat once again with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, in which he will be directing Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma.

‘Bombay Velvet’ is slated forrelease on 15th May.
