Karan Johar granted tax relief for Dharma Productions

As legal battles are set against filmmakers left, right and centre, Karan Johar recently won his case for his Dharma Productions, from the Income Tax Department for his films ‘Kaal’ (2005) and ‘Dostana’ (2008).

According to DNA India, When Johar had claimed expenses for both films, the IT department refused his claims and went straight to court to appeal against the production house, where Johar would have had to pay up to Rs 7 crore in total.

Despite both cases having been dealt with for so long, the High Court voted in favour for Dharma Productions.
