Karan Johar, who will be seen acting in a full-fledged role in Anurag Kashyap۪s Bombay Velvet۪ says he does not want to watch the film himself. The multi-talented filmmaker feels nervous because he is unsure of whether he has performed well enough.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Johar said, I haven۪t watched Bombay Velvet, and I don۪t want to see it. I get very nervous. I۪m comfortable being myself in front of the camera, but this film was something new for me. It gave me a chance to play a negative role, and that۪s why I took it up. I۪m scared and nervous about seeing it because I don۪t know whether I have done a good job or not.
Though Johar has acted in a television series during his childhood days, as well as having done cameos in movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge۪ (1995), Kashyap۪s film will be the first time he will be seen in a full length role on the big screen.
Bombay Velvet۪ also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Raveena Tandon. The film is slated to release in May 2015.
