Karan Johar is a filmmaker with an often uncanny intuition about what makes a success. He’s now bagged the rights of ‘Sairat’, a Marathi film which created waves earlier this year.

According to Pinkvilla, Johar will be co-producing the film with ZEE. It’s thought that a director of Dharma Productions will be directing the film and scripting has already begun.

The Hindi version will start shooting next year sometime.
