Karan Johar, the head of Dharma Productions, has announced his next venture. And despite all the recent negative news around the producer, Johar took to his Twitter handle to reveal details about a series that will celebrate 75 years of India’s independence.
Johar has teamed with other filmmakers like Rajkumar Santoshi, Dinesh Vijan and Mahaveer Jain for the ambitious project, reports Spotboye. He even tagged the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the tweet. He wrote, “Happy to announce our first Epic series of #ChangeWithin initiatives to celebrate 75 years of Independence. Friends from the creative fraternity Rajkumar Santoshi, Dinesh Vijan & Mahaveer Jain come together to tell incredible stories of our FREEDOM @narendramodi ji.”
The producer was also recently in the headlines as he received a summon from the Narcotics Control Bureau over the 2019 viral video of a house party he hosted. Reports of drug usage were made at this party, which he denies. The viral video included the likes of Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Malaika Arora.
