Kapil Sharma announced details of his new show, which takes to the air next month on Sony Entertainment Television Asia.

Asked on whether he had seen the replacement show ‘Comedy Nights Live’ on old channel, Colors, he said “it was different.” ‘Comedy Nights Live’ sees Krushna Abhishek leading.

Elaborating further on this, the comedian told The Indian Express, Yes, I did watch it. They۪re doing it in a different way; it۪s not like how we did it. We then got busy with our show. If we keep looking at others, when will we do our work. There is no competition as such; our purpose is to make people laugh; the team is the same, everything else is the same. If we keep those things in mind, then we won۪t be able to work; we are making the show in a very positive way. Hard work is there in our blood; we do it day and night, so we۪ll do it for this show as well. So obviously, it will be good.۝

Kapil also refuted rumours that there was controversy with the way he left Colors, What do you call a controversy? I feel that when you are working and people love you a lot, any news related to you becomes a news. I don۪t think I created any such controversy, or that I had any such intention.۝

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ launches on 23rd April at 21:00 on Sony TV.
