Kapil Sharma to host Star Screen Awards 2016

Kapil Sharma will be hosting the upcoming 22nd Annual Star Screen Awards in January, replacing Shah Rukh Khan, who has hosted the event for the past three years.

According to The Indian Express, Sharma will take over from the ‘Dilwale’ superstar from 2016. The event will be held next week and broadcast on Star Plus in the last week of January.

A source said, ���He (Kapil) has been attending meetings and has been going through a lot of scripts of late. The comedian is not leaving anything untouched to make his act as the host one of the most memorable one. In fact, Kapil is trying to re-tune his patent style of comedy and is working on something new and fresh.”

Sharma has recently been in the news about his weekly show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ defecting to another channel in January.
