Kapil Sharma on the success of his debut film

This gone weekend saw the release of three Bollywood movies, of which Kapil Sharma starrer ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ seems to have impressed the audience the most, going by both Box Office figures and reviews. ��The film marked Sharma’s debut as a leading actor in B-town.

Speaking to��IANS on his successful debut, Sharma said, “It feels good when your efforts are appreciated. ��I was not expecting such a positive response… Thanks to everybody for sending so much love and blessings. ��’Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ commenced on a very good note and hopefully it will carry on a high note in coming weeks.”

In an industry where there was a time only romantic heroes were considered for leading ‘hero’ roles, Sharma is glad to see the change.

“Gone are the days when there was a myth that a comedian cannot play a hero. Today actors want to portray diverse characters,” Sharma added.

‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ also marked Abbas-Mustan’s foray into comedy. ��The director duo have more often than not been associated with films slotting into the thriller genre.
