Kapil Sharma leaves rehab; show to return next year

After reports of checking into rehab a few weeks ago, Kapil Sharma is set to be on the mend but he’s not expected to return to television until next year.

According to DNA India, Sharma was admitted into a rehab in Bengaluru for an anti-toxification treatment in an ayurvedic centre. He completed this within 12 days when he was actually meant to remain there for around 40 days. He is now due to work on his next film ‘Firangi’, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, which will resume sometime next year.

A source told the publication, “Kapil is feeling much better. I can sense the changes in him. He had been pushing himself too far during the last few years. His mind and body gave warning signals. He wasn’t taking these warnings seriously. Now, finally God planned this break for him. And it has done him a world of good. Kapil has stopped drinking completely, at least, for now.”
