Kangna Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’ to be shot on an “unprecedented” scale

‘Baahubali’ (2015) writer Vijendra Prasad has planned epic war scenes for his upcoming film ‘Manikarnika’.

“The war episodes will be the major highlight of the film. It will be shot on a scale that has not been seen before on Indian screens,” he told IANS.

Prasad, along with director Krish, is putting a lot of effort into telling a compelling story. “I had agreed to pen the story only if the makers roped in Krish to direct. They liked his work in ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ and brought him on board. Since we are dealing with history and hard facts, we did a lot of research for this project.”

Starring Kangna Ranaut, ‘Manikarnika’ is a historical drama based on the life of Rani Laxmibai, the queen of Jhansi.
