Kangna Ranaut will share the screen with Madhuri Dixit

The sequel to Vidya Balan starrer ‘Ishqiya’ (2010) will see Kangna Ranaut and Madhuri Dixit share the screen space for the first time andthey will both be dancing to a number of different songs. It has been told that director, Abhishek Chaubey, advised Ranaut to improve and develop her dance skills to match Dixit’s.

Talking about the music for ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ in comparison to the prequel,Hindustan Timesreported Chaubey confirming a little of what audineces will get to see, “Music was very important to ‘Ishqiya’ and so it will remain in ‘Dedh Ishqiya’, though this time the songs and music would be very different. Yes, Madhuri would be doing a lot of singing and dancing.”

The sequel was very nearly going to be shelved, however after much consideration Chaubey decided to go through with it, “Repetition is death for me. I was against doing a sequel in the first place, because no matter how one looks at it, a sequel is an extension of the first film. But then when I finally decided on doing Dedh Ishqiya, I decided to put the characters in a totally different ambience.”

With the storyline being very different from ‘Ishqiya’, the sequel will haveNaseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi (who playprotagonists again) move from Gorakhour to Lucknow where they meet the leading ladies.
