Kangna Ranaut to start Meena Kumari biopic in 2016

After having won many awards and much acclaim for her performance in ‘Queen’ (2014), Kangna Ranaut has been approached with many film offers. ��The actress has confirmed that she will be starring in the Meena Kumari biopic, as has been rumoured since quite some time, but adds that the film will not be starting anytime before mid-2016.

IANS��quote the actress as saying,��”Yes, I have been offered a film on Meena Kumari and I hope things work out… But before that I would be doing Sujoy Ghosh and Hansal Mehta’s films, so I won’t be able to start with Meena Kumari’s biopic before mid-2016. But that’s happening.”

Ranaut will first be busy promoting the sequel to her 2011-hit, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, in which she has portrayed a double role. ��Titled ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, the sequel��is slated for release on 29th May.
