Kangna Ranaut to be ‘Queen’?

Last seen in Priyadarshan’s ‘Tezz’ which released just a few weeks ago, Kangna Ranaut is now set to play what sounds on paper to be the role of a lifetime. The National Award winner has been cast as the main lead in Vikas Bahl’s ‘Queen’.

The Deccan Chronicle reports that Bahl’s project is still very much in the casting stage but that Ranaut isa definite to play the protagonist. Talking about the movie, Bahl states, “I am in the middle of scripting stage. All I can say is it is a chick flick, titled ‘Queen’. The pre-production work is going on”. Bahl part-directed ‘Chillar Party’ (2011) which went on to win a National Award in the Best Children’s Film category.

It is thought that the film will roll in August. Ranaut is set to be a part of many big banner films such as ‘Krrish 3’ and Karan Johar’s next production to be directed by ‘Kurbaan’ (2009) director Rensil D’Silva.
