Kangna Ranaut to star in next part of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’?

Kangna Ranaut gained immense success as Tanu with Aanand L. Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011). She continued the role in the sequel, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (2015), but Rai is reportedly not keen on working with her again, and she may not be reprising her role in the franchise, if there is another installment.

Telegraph India reports Rai being non-committal to a third installment, and also being unclear of Ranaut’s casting. When asked, Rai said, “We don’t have a story yet for the next film in the Tanu Weds Manu franchise. If we get a good enough story we will make it. Casting will happen only once the script is done. And it will be done as per requirements of the script.”

Meanwhile, Rai is directing Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma in his much talked about film, ‘Zero’, which is slated to release this December.
