Kangna Ranaut reunites with Anurag Basu after 12 years for ‘Imali’

After a gap of 12 years, Kangna Ranaut will be working with filmmaker, Anurag Basu again in a film titled ‘Imali’.

The film has been described as an urban love story. Ranaut is expcted to work on this after she completes ‘Mental Hai Kya’ and Ashwini Iyer Tiwary’s kabaddi drama.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, “The prep for Imali is expected to begin by August but the film should roll only towards the year-end. The search for the male lead is on,” informs the source.

Ranaut told the publication, “It’s too early to talk about Imali as we are starting the film around the end of the year. All I can say is that Anurag is my godfather and everything I am today is because of him… I can’t wait to go back to the beginning.”

Ranaut’s next film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ releases later this year.
