Kangna Ranaut out of ‘Divine Lovers’ but signs ‘Simran’
Kangna Ranaut has been reported to have signed two films with producer Shailesh R Singh. However, a film called ‘Divine Lovers’ which was meant to star Ranaut and Irrfan Khan is now one she will no longer be doing. Instead, she will definitely feature in ‘Simran’.
According to Pinkvilla, Singh said to a leading newspaper, “We are now shooting��Divine Lovers��in the second quarter of 2016 which is why Kangna is no longer doing it. We were to shoot the film around September this��year��but the film got delayed. Kangna had committed to other films including��Rangoon��and another production of mine,��Simran��and then, she begins��Lakshmibai. She told us a few months ago that she would not be able to do��Divine Lovers��because of date issues. Kangna will wrap��Rangoon��by February. After��that��we will start��Simran��in March”.
He added, “Divine Lovers��script wasn�۪t ready. As it�۪s an Indo-French project with a treaty and rights involved, it�۪s a complicated,��long-drawn-out��
Ranaut is currently shooting for ‘Rangoon’ with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
