Kangna Ranaut irks Shabana Azmi after “anti-nationals” comment

Kangna Ranaut is not one of to hold back when it comes to express her personal feelings about sensitive issues. After the Pulwama terror attack on Thursday, a number of leading stars have come forward to pay their tributes to the 40 soldiers, who were killed.

Ranaut took the opportunity to take a swipe at Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, after they turned down an invitation by the Karachi Arts Council in the wake of the attack.

She said, “The film industry is full of such anti-nationals who boost enemies morale in many ways but right now is the time to focus on decisive actions… Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is.”

Reacting to Ranaut’s comments, Azmi told In.com, “You really think at a time like this a personal attack on me can be of any significance when the entire country stands as one in our grief and in condemning this dastardly Pulwama attack? May God bless her. Shabana Azmi.”
