Kangna Ranaut explains why she rejected ‘Sultan’ opposite Salman Khan

Kangna Ranaut has confirmed that the reason why she rejected Yash Raj Films’ ‘Sultan’ was mainly due to a date clash.

Ranaut was the rumoured actress opposite Salman Khan but she said she had already given her dates to Vishal Bhardwaj for ‘Rangoon’, which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

Incidentally, this is the second time she has rejected a movie with Salman Khan after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. She told Mid-Day, “I had already given dates to ‘Rangoon’ and that’s why I couldn’t do the film. I have always been choosy. Regardless of whether you are successful or not or there are options available or not, you have to choose the best. Earlier, there were not much options for me but now there are options. So I can afford to be choosy”.

Ranaut will be seen in ‘Katti Batti’ next, which releases in September.
