Kangna Ranaut to essay role of Anurima Sinha in her biopic

Whilst Kangna Ranuat concentrates on her forthcoming film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, she has already got another film in the pipeline, rumoured to be a biopic.

According to DNA India, Ranuat has been approached to essay Arunima Sinha, the first woman amputee to climb Mount Everest. A close source says, “The makers were to decide between Kriti Sanon and Kangana Ranaut. Since the latter’s schedule looked packed because she’s shooting for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, they were sceptical. But, Arunima took the final call on the lead.” Also the source said that the film is to be shot in 60 day intervals.

Ranaut will complete formalities after she has finished shooting for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ in December, as well as finalising the director for the biopic.

Apparently, Farhan Akthar had previously approached Sinha if he could make a biopic on her life. Akthar wanted to showcase the struggles Sinha faced and through this inspire others.
