Kangna Ranaut “emotionally drained” after ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’

Tanu Weds Manu Returns

It’s fair to say there doesn’t seem to be anything actress Kangna Ranaut cant’ do, and after proving herself to audiences and critics alike, she’s not showing any signs of stopping. However, the actress has gone on record stating that playing characters like Rani in ‘Queen’ (2013) and ‘Tanu’ in the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ franchise, were not easy tasks at all.

“I was shattered after I completed Queen۪. While Tanuja Trivedi was an emotionally draining role, playing Datto was physically exhausting. Since Datto is an athlete, I had to run and jump around. Every character that I have performed has come with its share of challenges,”IBN Livereported Ranaut explaining.

Despite her troubles, the actress makes it look so simple and all her hard work is definitely paying off. Receiving rave reviews already about her performance in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (2015) from critics, colleagues and audiences, Ranaut really seems to know her game. Talking about her character Tanu’ the actress went onto explain, “Manu Sharma is just not like Tanu. Their personalities and ideologies are completely different. As a single woman, Tanu would just get up in the morning, take a bike ride and just followed her heart. Everyone knew her as the star of street. And now, she has restrictions to follow, a family to look after, a husband who has different expectations. Such things can turn any girl۪s life upside down and make her just run away to a place where you nobody can find her.”

Also starring R Madhavan, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is currently showing on the big screens.
