Kangna Ranaut does not see her contemporaries as competition

Kangna Ranaut is undoubtedly one of the most successful actresses in recent times but has never actively been a part of B-town’s “rat race”. ��The actress says she is happy in her own space and does not view her contemporaries as competition.

In an interview with��Hindustan Times, Ranaut said, “My path has been very different, and always will be. If we do the same kind of roles, or are vying for the same projects, then it brings us under the same competition category. But I feel very safe with the roles that are offered to me. When Vikas (Bahl; director) came to me with ‘Queen’, he said, “If you are not doing it, then I won�۪t make the film.” Same was with Rai (Aanand L Rai; director). I feel very secure when my directors say that to me.”

The actress also added that though she is fond of and respects Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, she does not have any friends in the industry��as she spends her free time with her family and does “not feel the need for any other friendship or close relationship”.

Ranaut’s latest release ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has won rave reviews, especially for her performance in a double role.
