Kamal Haasan hurts sentiments of Hindus?

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has come underfire for “hurting the sentiments” of Hindus after a bitter row with the government.

Deccan Chronicle reports that a PIL has been filed at the Valliyoor judicial magistrate court seeking criminal action against the actor for talking “ill” about ‘Mahabharat’. The petition was filed by Adinatha Sundaram, Secretary of the Dharma Rakshina Samithi of Pazhavoor region.

In part of the television interview, Haasan was allegedly heard saying, “The country reads about the book in which a woman (Draupadi) was used as a pawn and was gambled away.”

Last week, the Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) filed a complaint with the Chennai Police seeking criminal action against the actor for hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
