Kalinga Sena threaten to throw ink on SRK’s face?

A group from the Kalinga society have apparently threatened to throw ink on Shah Rukh Khan’s face, after feeling insulted by his portrayal of the warrior-turned-monk Asoka in his 2001 film of the same name.

According to News17, Hemant Rath, the chief of the group that call themselves ‘Kalinga Sena’ has filed a complaint stating Khan has insulted the society anciently known as Odishi, through the film, and has demanded that he apologise.

The film depicts the historical battle of Asoka defeating the Kalinga King. The planned attack has been scheduleD to take place during Khan’s attendance at the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup. A press statement from the society reads, “We have made preparation to throw ink on the actor’s face and show him black flag at any place from the airport to the stadium. Our activists will remain present all along the road where Khan is likely to visit.”

There has been reports that extra security measures will be put in place for Khan’s visit to the stadium.
