‘Kahaani’ franchise set to continue with third instalment

After the success of the second instalment, ‘Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh’(2016), it looks like the franchise is set to continue with reports of a third film being made.

Producer Jayantilal Gada confirmed the reports telling Times Of India “I had a meeting with Sujoy who is currently in the process of writing the script. Like the previous films this will be a thriller too, but with a different twist”.

Whilst artists for the third instalment are still to be confirmed, Vidya Balan, who played the lead in both films so far, indicated to BizAsiaLive.com she would be open to a third instalment saying “Of course. Sujoy just needs to find the right kind of stories, and if he wants me in the story then I’d be happy to do it”.
