‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kenha’ & ‘Jaan-E-Maan’ on Sony

Sony Entertainment Television Asia will be premiering two huge movies in weeks to come.

The first biggie comes in the shape of Karan Johar’s blockbuster movie of last year ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, which will be shown on Sony Entertainment Television Asia in March. A date is to be confirmed but a telecast is likely on the last Sunday of the month.

The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan. ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ was last year’s biggest Bollywood release in the UK, raking in over 2 million.

The broadcaster will also screen the romantic comedy ‘Jaan-E-Maan’, which proved a disaster at the box office due to immense competition from movie ‘Don’ which released at the same time, last Diwali/Eid.

‘Jaan-E-Maan’ stars Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Preity Zinta and will be shown soon, a date is yet to be confirmed.

As well as big movies on the channel, Sony is depending heavily on Bollywood stars for other new shows. Actress Raveena Tandon has been confirmed as host for its new talk show ‘Ek Kup Zindagi’, which was due to start in January. The programme has been delayed further because of Raveena’s pregnancy.
