Juhi Chawla to play major role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’?

Acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently working on his upcoming Netflix series, ‘Heeramandi,’ which is currently in the pre-production stage. And in regards to the female leads, several names have been mentioned including the likes of Sonakshi Sinha, Nimrat Kaur, and Manisha Koirala. However, another name making news recently as joining the cast is none other than Juhi Chawla.

According to reports, Chawla has teamed up with Bhansali and will have a significant role in the show. She will have an important cameo in the eight-episode web series, reports Box Office Worldwide. She recently met with the director and immediately expressed interest in playing the role

The series will span the nineteenth century until the pre-partition period. Bhansali himself will be directing the opening and closing episodes, while Vibhu Puri and Mitakshara Kumar will direct the rest.

‘Heeramandi’ is due to release on Netflix in October later this year.
