Recently, pay disparity in Bollywood has been talked about openly by many. Juhi Chawla has admitted that in her time it was something that was accepted that heroes would be paid more.

She told PTI, “Pay disparity has always been there. It was there during our times too. There was no problem. It wasn۪t something I got upset about. We just accepted that the male actors would get more than us. But it is alright_ And it is pretty much the same now”.

Talking about whether the pay gap should now be reduced, the actress commented, “Even if I feel that way, I don۪t see it going away easily. It won۪t go overnight. The only difference is that today۪s actors earn more than what we used to get and similarly the future actors will get even more”.

She will be seen next in a film called ‘Chalk N Duster’. She spoke about the film, “I really liked the script. I kept reading it through the end and I feel if it kept me engaged it would keep the audience hooked to. The film is about commercialization of education, which I see happening in a lot of places. It is also about how we forget our teachers, who have taught us so much in life”.

The film is directed byJayant Gilatar and is slated for release on 15th January.
