Juhi Chawla against “item numbers”

Juhi Chawla had her share of��masaala films in the 90s, which consisted of some questionable songs. However, the actress has recently expressed her dislike to such songs and believes item numbers should not be allowed.

PTI quote Chawla, as having said at a recent event, “Are we listening to the lyrics? These lyrics were written by men and not women. Should we be listening to these songs? Should we be allowing it?”

The actress apparently highlighted popular songs such as��Munni Badnaam Hui and��Chikni��Chameli as two from recent times which she is against. ��However, she is not oblivious to the fact that she herself has featured in questionable songs.

Chawla added, “Even I had to do one or two such songs. Do you think I was happy doing that? When I was dancing to��Jab Tak Rahega Samose Mein Alu do you think I was enjoying it?”

It can be noted that the hit song from the 90s,��Jab Tak Rahega Samose Mein Alu, featured Chawla alongside Akshay Kumar. ��Allegedly both Chawla and Kumar��were very stressed while shooting for that song and tried their best to get out of it, however, they had to go along with it due to pressure from the filmmakers.
