It has been confirmed that Varun Dhawan would be starring his father’s sequel to the 1997 film ‘Judwaa’. BizAsia has learnt that the second instalment will go on the floors towards the end of 2016.

David Dhawan had confirmed previously that he’s still working on the script. A source told Box Office India, “The script will take time as the first one featured Salman Khan and the second one is being written keeping Varun in mind. The final draft will be complete by June. Then the prep for the film will start. The film will start rolling only at the end of the year, after Jr Dhawan keeps his other commitments as this film will be shot at a stretch”.

Varun will apparently be seen dancing to a couple of the original songs of the 1997 film in the second instalment which will definitely be interesting for audiences to see.

Although a few names have been thrown into the mix for the leading ladies in the film, noone is yet confirmed.
