JP Dutta to shoot ‘Border 2’ in Rajasthan

JP Dutta’s plans for ‘Border 2’ are underway after the filmmaker’s wife confirmed that he was looking at Rajasthan as the central location for the sequel to the 1997 hit.

Bindiya Goswami told Times Of India, “JP saheb is madly in love with this state. Most of his films have been shot extensively in Rajasthan, and this time too, he is planning to come here. Soon, he’ll come down for a recce and finalise the locations. At the moment, he is busy with other things.” And when is Dutta planning to start the shoot? “Most probably, by the end of February next year.”

Dutta’s previous films including ‘Gulami’ (1985), ‘Batwara’ (1989), ‘Kshatriya’ (1993), ‘Hathyar’ (1989), ‘Umrao Jaan’ (2006), ‘Refugee’ (2000), ‘Line Of Control Kargil’ (2003) and even ‘Border’ were extensively shot in the state.
