‘Johnny’ & ‘Shabaash’ dominate July on ZEE TV

The combination of a new comedy and a reality TV show will dominate ZEE TV UK’s new look weekend schedule in the month of July.

The much anticipated ‘Johnny Ala Re’, which has been waited with bated breath will finally launch on Saturday 1st July. The programme will air both Saturday and Sunday at 18:30.

This show promises the viewers half an hour of insane family entertainment every week. In this stand-up comedy riot, Johnny Lever mimics, spoofs and meets celebrities in his own inimitable style.

Speaking on the launch of the serial, Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, ZEE TV said, Johnny Ala Re is laughter personified! The viewers are in for a treat with this one. Johnny Lever is a comedian par excellence. The best part is, he makes you laugh by just being around! We have also lined up some lively celebrities that go with the flavour of the show. Johnny will meet them in his own comical manner, ensuring that the audiences are in splits, rolling in the aisles.۝

Besides the fixed segments there are a few floating segments such as a parody of songs, topical spoofs, and mimicry Johnny style. This is one show where there are no limits to amusement. Johnny takes no responsibility for the laughter lines on your face!

Other than ‘Johnny Ala Re’, ZEE TV’s next big programme will be the launch of ‘Shabaash India’. As already reported on Biz Asia, this programme will be India’s answer to the UK hit show ‘Guinness Book of World Records’.

While ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ looks at the extraordinary feats of ordinary men, ‘Shabaash India’ too works on similar lines but it has its desi flavour. Produced by Softocustelefilms, the show glorifies exceptional Indians who exhibit their skills in extreme circumstances. Hussain, who has earlier anchored STAR Plus’ ‘Khul Ja Sim Sim’, has been roped in to anchor this show.

Johnny Ala Re will begin on Saturday 1st July. Aired Saturday – Sunday at 18:30

Shabaash India will begin on Saturday 1st July. Aired Saturday – Sunday at 18:00.
