John Abraham wanted to be like Sylvester Stallone

John Abraham has occasionally been referred to as Bollywood’s own Sylvester Stallone. Abraham recently admitted that Stallone is his idol and his upcoming film, ‘Rocky Handsome’, is in a way his tribute to Stallone for his work in the award-winning��’Rocky’ series.

Magna Mags quote Abraham as saying, “Sylvester Stallone is the reason I got into films. ��I still remember being awestruck when I watched ‘Rocky IV’ on the big screen for the first time. ��I wanted to be like him, the underdog with a tough exterior and a soft heart… For me, just him watching ‘Rocky Handsome’ would be validation enough that I exist in this industry because of him.”

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, ‘Rocky Handsome’ releases on 25th March.
