John Abraham to star in ‘Vedalam’ Hindi remake?

Tamil film ‘Vedalam’ (2015) is apparently all set to get a Hindi remake and news has it that John Abraham could be taking on the male lead role.

The rights for the film have been acquired by Bhushan Kumar already. A source reportedly said to TOI, “Bhushan loved the original and has spoken to John about making it in Hindi. John has agreed to be a part of the film. However, the signing formalities are still being closed”.

The source went on to add, “The Hindi version will be adapted in a way that will appeal to a pan-India audience, while the makers are still on the lookout for a director. Once the final script is locked and a director is on-board, the team will begin casting for the rest of the parts alongside other pre-production formalities”.

South actor Thala Ajith led the cast in the Tamil original and the film also starred Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon.
