John Abraham to spill beans on split on Star Plus

Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham will be spilling the beans about his split from actress Bipasha Basu, on Star Plus’ new show ‘India’s Most Desirable’.

This is the first time; John will be seen talking about the break-up in public. The pair was together for eight years before going their separate ways at the beginning of this year. Both parties have remained quiet on what really happened.

According to sources, the interview was shot sometime ago but looked lukewarm in comparison with other episodes with the celebrity guests and thus a few edits were made. A source told NDTV, “Though John is known to be politically correct, he has spoken about his ex-flame Bipasha Basu on the show. But there were certain portions that needed to be redone. And the actor agreed to be on the sets yet again. Viewers will not even notice that it has not been shot at a stretch but after a big gap.”

Simi admitted, “Yes, it was kind enough of John to shoot again with us. He was the first guest on the show. It was like a pilot episode.”

But she also said, “After watching it we felt the lights needed to be redone as well as some portions of the sets. To maintain the continuity we had to re-shoot. He’s such a sweetheart and willingly agreed to do the portions again.”

She added, “As John’s episode will be telecast at a later date, we had to resort to the re-shooting, otherwise it would stand out among the rest of the episodes for the continuity reasons.”

Did he want certain portions to be edited out? “Not at all,” said Simi. “He has been honest and frank on the show. It will be telecast after a couple of weeks.”
