Abraham will also be producing the film under JA Entertainment and it will be directed by Parmeet Sethi. Abraham was recently in the news for wanting to put sports at the forefront in cinema and this is one development that will be living upto that. Sethi confirmed the news, according to Mumbai Mirror, “Yes, I am going to direct a film on Gama Pehlwan for John and I am looking forward to it. It’s going to be a very credible film.”
Abraham and Sethi hope for the film to go on the floors this year. It will be shot primarily in North India and will look at the life of the wrestler who remained unbeaten until he died.
