Director Nikkhil Advani is ready with his new film, a thriller titled ‘Batla House’. The film will star John Abraham and is written by Advani’s ‘D-Day’ (2013) writer Ritesh Shah. ‘Batla House’ will be based on a real encounter that took place ten years ago on 19th September. Abraham will be playing DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who was awarded a President Gallantry Award for this mission.
Mirror reports Advani saying, “Sanjeev Kumar Yadav wanted a physically and mentally strong actor and John fits the bill. With a little light on him and a flash of those dimples, John stands out in a crowd. The biggest challenge will be to make him blend in.”
When asked about the project, Abraham said, “We have yet to meet, but I’ve been devouring all the material on him, and from what I’ve read, he seems like a humble man with an interesting back story. The biggest challenge will be to find the balance between duty and country, that fine line Sanjeev Kumar Yadav walk so perfectly and project it on screen.”
‘Batla House’ will start rolling this September.
