John Abraham says “no” to intimate scenes

Actor John Abraham has been missing from the silver screen for almost two years now, last seen in his home production, ‘Madras Cafe’ (2013). He surprised the world with the announcement of his quick wedding, with then girlfriend Priya Runchal in Los Angeles. It has been reported that Abraham is not comfortable with enacting intimate scenes in his next ‘Welcome Back.’

Abraham is pairing up with Shruti Haasan for the first time, and is shying away from enacting intimacy with her. The director of the film, Anees Bazmee said that it takes time for new co-stars to be comfortable with each other. According to Mumbai Mirror, “A fresh jodi takes time to develop a comfort level. John did not want any kissing or steamy scenes so we have settled for a romantic song.” The song has not been shot yet, and it will not have intimate moments between Abraham and Haasan.

Abraham is the newest addition to the sequel of the 2007 comedy, ‘Welcome.’ He has tried his hand in comedy before with ‘Dostana’ (2008) and will be accompanied by the original funny men behind the hit, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal, minus the original’s lead, Akshay Kumar.
