John Abraham on ‘Vicky Donor’: “If the film was before ‘Jism’, I would be right for it”

��Vicky Donor�۪, which releases today, is��directed by Shoojit Sircar and focuses on sperm donation and surrogacy. Produced by heart-throb John Abraham, the film stars VJ-turned-actor Ayushmann Khurrana.

When it was announced that John would be producing the film, many asked the first-time producer why he wasn�۪t to act in it as well; ���The script demanded a fresh face. Had the film been before ���Jism�۝ (2003-his debut film), I would be right for it!�۝ John stated.

The film��is based on a��somewhat delicate subject, which can bring up certain speculations. As per Times of India, when asked about why he had chosen such a subject for his debut production,��Abraham told reporters, ���When an issue stirs up debate and not controversy, half the battle is won. I am sure that people will have a different take on sperm donation after watching this film.�۝

John has been submerged by female fans requesting for sperm donation, ever since the film was announced; ���It’s shocking! I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or be devastated!�۝.��When asked if he could who he would donate to he replied, ���For one, a donor’s identity is kept secret. And if I had to donate sperm, I’d do it for altruistic reasons.”

Along with Abraham�۪s production house, JA Entertainment, others involved in the film’s production are Eros International, Rising Sun Films and Rampage Motion Picture.
