John Abraham in talks for portray Duryodhana for next?
John Abraham is reportedly in advanced discussions to portray Duryodhana in a bold new cinematic retelling of the Mahabharata, directed by Arun Gopalan, best known for his work on ‘Tehran’.
The film, tentatively titled ‘Duryodhana’, is set in a modern-day context, offering a fresh perspective on the epic’s most misunderstood antagonist. Abraham is said to be deeply impressed by Gopalan’s screenplay, which reimagines the ancient tale through contemporary themes of ambition, power, and morality.
Pre-production is expected to begin in early 2026, with filming scheduled to commence by mid-2026. The project will be jointly produced by John Abraham and Sandeep Leyzell, under Abraham’s production banner.
