John Abraham and Varun Dhawan share screen space for the first time in Rohit Dhawan’s ‘Dishoom’. However,Abraham has stated that his relationship with the Dhawan family goes back to the days he was shooting for Rohit’s ‘Desi Boyz’ (2009).

In an interview with DNA, Abraham said, “One day he (Rohit) chanced upon a film about a cricketer getting kidnapped and he said he needed two cops and I would be one of them, no questions asked. He asked me who should play the other cop? I told him that he had the other cop in his house Varun (laughs). Varun and I are so comfortable off-screen, and that۪s because of Desi Boyz. I often went to Rohit۪s home. David and I share a beautiful equation. I am part of the Dhawan family in more ways than one. We are so close that getting Varun and me to do Dishoom was so natural. From Rohit۪s point-of-view, you get two people who are really close to you. I have got two brothers in the house and I will take both.”

The film, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna, is slated to release on 29th July.
