Jodhpur not screening ‘Padmaavat’?

Though Sanjay Leela Bhansali has had the all clear to release his forthcoming ‘Padmaavat’, it seems the Shri Rajput Karni Sena are showing no signs of backing down from wanting the film to not be released. The latest has it that the group have requested Jodhpur to not screen the film yet.

According to DNA, the Supreme Court is yet to review their petition. Talking to the media Ravipal Singh Sarecha, a member of the fringe group, was reported stating, “We met the cinema hall owners and requested them to cooperate with our movement and they have assured of the cooperation.”

Having built a reputation for creating violence and distress, Sarecha was clear to add that they had in fact put in a request to Jodhpur rather than aggressively threaten its theatres.
