‘Jhund’ & ‘Ludo’ set to release directly on Netflix?

With each passing day, more and more Bollywood films are being lined up for a digital platform release, due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

After news emerged about Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, it has now been revealed that plans in the offing over two more new releases eyeing a digital release.

Box Office World reports that T-Series, the makers of the film, are in talks with Netflix to sell Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Jhund’ and Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Ludo’ directly on the digital streaming giant.

A source was cited in the publication saying, “The studio has eight to 10 films that are close to the finish line. While the head honchos were in talks with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other OTT platforms for a direct-to-web release, their conversation with Netflix has advanced considerably. Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund and Anurag Basu’s Ludo, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Fatima Sana Shaikh, are among the movies in discussion.”
