Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut film ‘Sairat’ remake to roll in December?

Following a lot of to-ing and fro-ing on the debut film of Jhanvi Kapoor, it is now reported the film will start shooting in December. The remake of Marathi film ‘Sairat’ (2016) has been in the news for a while now with various speculations.

The film, which will feature Kapoor opposite Ishaan Khatter, brother of Shahid Kapoor, has been doing the rounds due to no official announcements having yet been made on either the film or its leading cast. However, according to PinkVilla.com, filming for the movie will roll on 1st December 2017.

The original film, which won a lot of critically acclaim, was directed by Nagraj Manjule who has come out to say he is willing to help support the Dharma Productions and Zee Studios re-make, which will be directed by Shashank Khaitan. Manjule was reported as saying he would love to meet Karan Johar and help support if required.
