Popular Punjabi singer Jaz Dhami has been in music since 2008 but he۪s only just entered the glittering world of Bollywood. His debut came in the form of Hum Ne Pee Rakhi Hai from Sanam Re۪ (2016). The musician has spoken about his late entry in Bollywood.

I always saw Bollywood as a natural progression in my career and that۪s why I waited to start my career here. When I started off as a singer, I was from a classical background. So my music was not really commercial like Bollywood music,۝ said Dhami, according to Hindustan Times.

His song High Heels, which released in 2012, is one that has been reworked for Ki and Ka۪ (2016) recently. Dhami had made it into the mainstream with it four years back. He said, After High Heels, I got a bit more confident with my music. After that I knew what kind of music people will like and will do well commercially. And a few years later, you saw me singing Bollywood songs۝.

Dhami is clear that he doesn۪t want to limit himself, I have always maintained that I want to do different type of songs. I want to be challenged as an artist and try different genres. I just don۪t want people to say that I can just sing dance numbers, or that I can sing only romantic songs. I want them to know I can sing any genre۝.
