Jaya Bachchan’s TV debut to air from January on Sony TV

Popular Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan will be making her television debut on Sony Entertainment Television Asia in January, BizAsia can confirm.

The show titled ‘Vasundhara’ is conceptualised and based on the Gujarati Novel ‘Yog-Viyog’ written by Hiralal Upadhyay. ‘Vasundhara’ is a serial that would depict the life of a single parent, her strive to run the family and manage it to the best.

Husband, Amitabh Bachchan already is associated with the channel with gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He will also be seen in a fiction produced by Anurag Kashyap.

‘Vasundhara’ kicks off in January and will air in a prominent weekday slot.
