Jay Soni speaks about off-screen equation with Harshad Chopda & Pranali Rathod in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’
Jay Soni’s character Abhinav in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has been accepted and loved by the audience.
Delighted with the response, the actor says, “I’m enjoying portraying the warm and positive character of Abhinav. He is a giver. Very rarely you get to see people like him. The way he deals with every situation in a very positive way is inspiring. I feel he is a very good person. For him, everything is very simple in life and he finds happiness in the smallest of things. Abhinav has a small world with Abhir and Akshara. The response so far has been very good, touchwood. But, I don’t think too much about it and my only concentration is to do justice to the part.”
Soni is very thankful to the audience for all the love being sent his way and the show. “The way they have accepted Abhinav is overwhelming. I get so many messages, many have written to me saying that the character makes us believe that good people do exist in life and the world is still a beautiful place. I’m very happy that I am able to give out positive vibes and bring calmness in people’s lives. So thank you once again, I’ll keep entertaining and giving my best and I’ll always try to play Abhinav in the best way possible. Keep watching ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and what you expect will never happen (laughs), and you will see all the amazing twists and turns.”
Soni is mostly at ease in light-hearted roles. “I’m good at total ease in light-hearted roles because I look like that but I can play negative shades well too. As an actor I want to be like a chameleon who can fit into anything. My efforts are always to make every character believable,” he continues, “Like other actors, I want to do different kinds of roles. But I want to do something, which is unexpected from Jay Soni. I want to play rugged roles, a bad boy, and try every possible thing I can to push my limit.”

Speaking about his off-screen equation with Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod, who plays the role of Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively, he adds, “Off-screen equations with Harshad and Pranali are very good and professional. They are very hard working and cooperative,” he adds.
