Jasmin Bhasin on winning her fourth award

Jasmin Bhasin, who plays Teni in Colors’ ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ spoke to BizAsiaLive.com about bagging the ‘Powerpacked Performer’ award at the Colors Golden Petal Awards earlier this week.

You got your fourth award. The category was a powerful performer for the role of Teni in Dil Se Dil Tak. How do you feel?
Of course, I feel good and I feel awards motivate you more and they are the gestures to tell you that you are doing your job very well. My association with Colors has just started and they are making good content.

In term of awards, you seem to be quite lucky that you get an award for every role you do. Comment.
Yes, even I feel that I have got an award for the every role I have done so, of course, I feel great and it keeps me motivated. I want to keep doing better and that acts as a catalyst for me.

What is the feedback you are getting for Teni?
I am getting very good feedback and people are loving me and it is becoming very popular. It feels very nice and people come and ask me are you actually a Gujarati? People are really thinking that I am Gujarati and I have to really adapt myself for the character, accent, and everything.

What is the best compliment you’ve received?
The best compliment was that inspite of being a Punjabi girl, how can you play a Gujarati character so effortlessly?

Are you satisfied with your role and career at this stage?
I am very satisfied with my role and career at this stage.

I was wearing an outfit designed by Nikki and she owns a label called Azuli. I know her from three years but never got a chance to wear her outfit. Finally, I got a chance and I am in love with her designs. It is important for an actor to look stylish.
